Some students are spending extra/excessive amounts of time in the restroom. For some, they are stating they are doing their business. (I guess their schedules are off??) For others it is a game to not have to eat lunch at the first lunch table. (I have figured this out and when caught, they sit at the first table.) Please speak with your child about using the restroom in a timely manner. If there is an issue I need to be aware of please let me know. Today was a big day for first grade! We received and took our song books to Mass for the first time! Overall, it went very well! Before passing them out we discussed expectations and respect for our books. The idea is the books are to last them through fifth grade. This is very possible it just takes respect for the book! If for some reason the book is lost or destroyed it will need to be replaced. Cost of replacement will be the responsibility of the student/family. Don't forget to bring your items for our feast on Monday! You can find your list below! Thank you! Please take the time to log in and view your child's progress report. Remember: No homework next week. We will be doing some assessments along with Thanksgiving activities. My goal is to have our I pad learning centers up and running full time by second semester. If you would like to send in a pair of headphones for your child, that would be greatly appreciated. Have you started your Christmas shopping? All students need new crayons. I am not going to be picky if it is 24 or more or less. Have a wonderful weekend! Tuesday, November 19, 2019
I hope you are enjoying your day! PROGRESS REPORTS HAVE BEEN POSTED. PLEASE LOG INTO SCHOOL SPEAK AND VIEW YOUR CHILD'S GRADES. IF YOU CAN'T SIGN, PLEASE DON'T WORRY. I CAN SEE WHEN YOU VIEWED THE REPORT. I COUNT THAT AS YOUR SIGNATURE. PLEASE NOTE: I used the scores for e Learning from Readworks and I Ready. It was evident, based on the scores, some students did not take the I Ready assignment seriously. I know, from classroom work and quizzes, that they are a stronger student than what the I Ready score shows. This is something to remember when working on future e Learning days. |
