HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! WE ARE BACK AND READY FOR THE BIG PUSH TO BECOME SECOND GRADERS!
The third nine weeks, without major weather interruption, is my favorite teaching time! We are able to keep a momentum going and a focus on our goal, "studious, independent, learners who are not afraid to take risks, tackle failures, and explore new ideas" and then, "ready to tackle the challenges of second grade!"
This push will be easier for some than others, but, we will all get there. I promise!
Our first days back to school will focus getting back into our routine. This also means our eating habits. I find the hardest adjustment after a long break is being hungry. If you wish to donate snacks for our "10 am Recharge" it would be greatly appreciated. Gummies are my favorite to share but I will also use pretzels, round, brown crackers, and graham crackers. We will continue our 1 pm snack with milk break. I expect students to provide their own snack for the afternoon.
