SNACKS
We get hungry! Our brains are working hard and using energy. We take the opportunity for a quick snack, following first recess. I prefer fruit snacks for this one. If everyone could send in a large box of fruit snacks, 50 count at Walmart, or $6 for me to purchase them, we will be stocked for awhile. We also take time for a milk/snack break around 1 o'clock. This could be cereal, granola bar, fruit, something quick and easy. Each child is responsible for their own snack at this time. For the occasional times you might forget, I will provide a small snack of pretzels or animal crackers. Of course, milk is available, daily, for 50 cents. Your child just needs to let Mrs. Simmons when he/she checks in for lunch. |

Welcome to first grade! The room has been redesigned, the desks and learning spaces named, and wonderful new ideas have been planned! I am anticipating an amazing year with this wonderful group of students! There will be a lot of information to share with you these first few weeks of school. One of our school wide initiatives is to utilize more technology, including using technology for communication with parents. This will be a new learning opportunity for many of us. To keep you current on the latest information, please visit my Weebly page, often. I don’t do weekly newsletters. My format is more of an FYI type of note. In the beginning I will be sure to note in your child’s assignment book to check the Weebly page. After some practice it will become a daily habit for us all! So, let’s get started! Hold on tight! It is going to be an adventure, spread across 180 days! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me! Prayers and Blessings, Mrs. Holliday |
