SuperKids
Log into SuperKids Online Fun and take the assigned Unit 14 Assessment. This should be the first thing that shows up when you log in. Read and listen carefully! If you did not understand the first time, listen or read again! I want you to do your best!
Turn to page 102 in your Word Workbook. You were to write sentences to answer the questions. Go back and CHECK your answers. Make sure you wrote good sentences.
Remember, this means--
1. You wrote more than one word to answer the question.
2. Your answer makes sense.
3. You started each sentence with a capital letter.
4. Each sentence has an endmark.
5. You did your best spelling, being sure to spell those words correctly that you KNOW how to spell. If you use a
word from the question you spelled it correctly.
Word Workbook Pages 103 and 104. Read and reread the words at the top of the pages. Read and reread the spelling list. Do you hear the -ow sound, spelled -ow and -ou? Fill in the blanks, tracing over the blue letters and using your best handwriting.
Read pages 165-167 in your decodable reader. The Word List is on page 165. Just do the list for "The Parade Marches By." You can read the story with the Superkids and Online Fun. Then, read it on your own, several times, for fluency.

I Ready Math
Note to Parents:
I am assigning all the lessons needed to complete first grade. I have the due dates set so that 4 lessons must be completed each week, to stay on track. These lessons will not be available until April 6, tomorrow. These will show as the Blue Lessons when your child logs into
I Ready. I believe it will only show two lessons at a time. I am checking into this. By assigning them all it will allow your child to work ahead if they want to do more than 4 lessons each week.
Sign into I Ready. Do the blue lessons. You need to complete 4 lessons each week.

Religion
This is the most holy week for Christians. This week's lessons will focus on Holy Week and our faith.
To help us get ready for this week, go on a nature hike. Find materials to make your own cross. We will use this later in the week. You can use twigs or rock or whatever else you might find. Put them together in the shape of a cross. You can use string, glue, or tape. Maybe you have another idea. That is fine. Share your pictures with me. We will be using them at the end of the week.

Good morning! You all did a wonderful job yesterday! Thank you! Please be sure to sign in for attendance!
A schedule was sent out for drop off and pick up of materials at school. First grade will only have one drop off and one pick up. I would like to have everything dropped off on April 28th. At this time, that is only your Word Workbook and Journal. Pick up will be May 12th. Stay tuned for more details. Remember, all Distance Learning assignments, for the current week, are due by the following Monday. For example, all of this week's assignments are due by Monday, April 13th. I check often and once you complete the assignment I grade it. If you need some extra work or support I will assign that as soon as I grade your work. The due dates for extra work and supports will vary. When we need to relearn or have extra practice with a skill, it is best to do it right away! Have a great day!

Today is Thursday of Holy Week. Please go to the Holy Week tab. Fr. Rick Nagel has shared some great ideas you can do as a family, while staying home. I would love for your child to share, in his/her journal an activity or activities you shared during this most Holy time.
Check back throughout the day. The fourth and fifth graders have created a video for The Stations of the Cross. I will share the link below and on the Holy Week page.

Do Word Workbook page 108. These questions go with the story, "The Lesson." You may use your book to look for answers in the story.
Word Workbook page 109 (Optional)
Read the Memory Words. Trace the words and then write each word again on the handwriting lines in the same row of cards. (The word done gets copied once. The “Match it!” card is a wild card.) Write initials in small letters on each card. When finished, cut apart the cards along the dashed lines. Each card has a different Memory Word on each side. You will have to make a second set of cards to play the game. You can use paper, cut into squares, or cut the index cards in half.
Directions
Play the game with a partner. Players should place their own stack of cards in front of them with the green stars face up. One player reads aloud the word on the green-star side of the top card in his stack. The second player takes the top card from her stack and reads aloud the words on both sides. If one of these words matches the first player’s word or the card says ‘Match it!,’ the second player puts both cards in her win pile. If she can’t make a match, then the first player puts both cards in his win pile. Players switch roles and repeat with new cards. They keep taking turns until all the cards have been played. The player with the most cards in his win pile wins the game.
