Please notice, as we get farther along in the school year, you should see daily posts, especially with the homework. Some days, like today, we are so busy I don't have the opportunity to stamp the assignment book to remind you to look at this page. There are several areas of social development we are working on. They are the following: 1. Proper table manners: This includes not talking with our mouth full, asking for items to be passed, and saying please, thank you, or no thank you. We are also using napkins, cleaning our spots, and pushing our chairs in. 2.Saying excuse me when we bump into someone, pass air, or for an urgent interruption. 3.Not interrupting when two adults are talking, nor talking loudly while the adults are talking. 4.Not interrupting and patiently waiting our turn. 5.Walking around, instead of between, two people talking. 6. Keeping our fingers out of places. 7. Being helpful instead of not stepping in because it is "not mine" or "I didn't do it". There you have it. Common courtesies and just being kind. We are never to young, or too old, to be polite, respectful, and kind! September 3, 2019
Welcome to September! I hope all had a restful weekend! There are grades published in School Speak, though we are having technical issues with the system. Our wonderful Mrs. Simmons, along with Mrs. Nagel, have been working with them today. We have finished our 3 week review of Superkids. Now the real work begins! We are starting Lesson 2 in Math. At the beginning of each lesson (chapter) there is a parent letter. I send those home for your information. They do not have to be returned! Spelling List for the week of September 2
